TCG & Promotional Mounts

The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) releases some cards which contain codes that can be redeemed for in-game items like mounts. You can find more information on the WoW TCG at WoW Wiki.

Other codes for mounts may be given away as rewards for participating in Blizzard events like BlizzCon or promotions like the Refer-A-Friend system. And some codes may be purchased directly from the Blizzard Store.

A Note on Retired TCG Mounts

TCG mounts -- and other mounts that are unlocked with a physical card -- are not considered retired even when the card itself is out of print, because you will probably be able to find an unused code for sale. Keep in mind, however, that the longer a TCG card has been out of print, the more expensive and harder it will likely be to find.
