Semi-Retired Mounts
These mounts are not technically retired; they can still be obtained on certain realms and in certain situations. But it's not easy!
The Black Qiraji Battle Tank can only be obtained at the Opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. If you are insistent on riding this mount, you'll need to find a realm that hasn't yet opened its Gates and then work hard to get them open. (Also listed in Ahn'Qiraj Mounts.)

These next two mounts are both rewards for top-ranking Arena teams. The Swift Nether Drake is from Season 1; the Merciless Nether Drake from Season 2. Whether or not new players are capable of obtaining these mounts is somewhat in question: Will Blizzard repeat these rewards in future seasons, perhaps when they run out of elite Nether Drake colors? Or will they create a new mount for each separate season? (Also listed in Other PvP Mounts.)
