On April 27th, the reward for successfully recruiting a friend to play World of Warcraft via the Recruit-A-Friend program — and getting them to pay for two months of game time — switched from a the land-bound Swift Zhevra to an airborne X-53 Touring Rocket. In addition to flying, the rocket also has a big advantage in passenger space: it can carry two characters at once.
Players who already owned a Swift Zhevra will keep their Zhevra and can also earn a rocket, but there is no longer any way to earn a Zhevra. Players who were sitting on an unused Recruit-a-Friend reward code when the mount was switched could immediately apply it for an X-53, and players who earn a RaF code in the future will earn the rocket.
Like the Zhevra, the X-53 is not account bound: it can only be applied to a single character. The character can be any level, but they will not be able to use the rocket until they can use flying mounts in general.
