Several months ago I dragged my husband into the WoW TCG as a way to get him more interested in playing WoW with me online. (Also, of course, I really wanted those loot cards.)
But as usual, his interest in the cards surpassed mine, and so recently he decided to introduce his tabletop D&D group to the TCG in the hopes of cultivating more people to play with.
He went out and bought a couple of cheap boxes of booster packs, scheduled a game night, then gave everyone a quick rundown of the rules and handed out the boosters to open (because everyone loves opening boosters). We all made small decks from the boosters and then played some rather chaotic team games.
But the highlight of the evening for me was the Saltwater Snapjaw loot card that I found in the first booster I opened.
Yes, I now have a very sexy (if rather slow) Riding Turtle.
It’s no Spectral Tiger, but hey — I’ll take what I can get!
