Zul’Aman Bear Mount Retired in Patch 3.0

Blizzard mentioned quite some time ago that the Amani War Bear, the armored bear mount from Zul’Aman, will be retired when the Wrath of the Lich King expansion launches. Today they clarified that statement and let us know that the bear mount will cease to be available with the next major content patch to WoW, which will actually happen before Wrath launches.

Zarahym posted:

As an update to this, the Zul’Aman Bear Mount will be removed with the upcoming content patch, prior to Wrath of the Lich King:

And he linked to another post of his:

Will bear mounts still be available when the new content patch hits?

No. This item will no longer be available with the release of the next content patch. Mind you this patch will happen before the release of Wrath of the Lich King.

So keep that in mind! There is not yet an announced date for the next major content patch, Patch 3.0, but Blizzard has said that it will be on the Public Test Realms in the coming weeks. If you still don’t have the Amani War Bear but you plan to get it, you might want to do it soon!

I’ve seen people about with an Albino Drake (a handsome white dragon indeed). Apparently, this is an achievement reward for having almost every mount in the game, though I’d like to see confirmation on it.

Anyway, added on the PTR (so it should be available well pre-Wrath).

I checked around and evidently the drake you mentioned, isn’t really for ‘every mount ingame’, supposedly just 50 different mounts.

Which I think is over achieving cause I counted for my Tauren, and I can only easily, obtain 45ish of the mounts needed :/ </3 drop mounts. Gief taurens raptors :/
